Tri-lateral Stacker Order Picker Maintenance Guide | Reduce Breakdown & Downtime
Tri-lateral Stacker Order Picker operates with forks rotating 90° left and right. Equipped with sophisticated tri-lateral rotating assembly consisting of precision components. Under long-term high-frequency high-level order picking, rotating bearings, rotary cylinders and mast rollers are prone to wear, jamming and oil leakage. Without regular maintenance, equipment failure rate will rise significantly. Below is the complete Electric Order Picker Maintenance procedure.
5-Minute Daily Inspection
Tri-lateral Rotation Mechanism Check
Clear plastic straps, paper scraps and debris stuck in the rotary base gap. Visually inspect slewing bearing and pins for deformation; check forks for cracks or bending. Rotate forks left and right repeatedly without load to detect abnormal noise or sticking.

Simple Hydraulic System Test
Lift and lower empty forks multiple times and test fork rotation simultaneously. Inspect lifting cylinders, rotary cylinders and pipe joints for oil seepage. Tighten leaking connections immediately; never operate under load with oil leakage.
Travel, Brake & Safety Components Test
Test forward, reverse and low-speed steering. Verify brakes and emergency stop button are responsive. Confirm high-lift speed limit and reverse warning devices work properly to prevent sliding and rack collision during high-level picking.
Battery & Electric Control Check
Check battery casing for bulging and terminals for oxidation. Power on and confirm no fault codes on display. Charge promptly when power is low.
Wheel Set Inspection
Remove tangled waste around drive and load wheels. Record damaged or unevenly worn wheels and replace once wear exceeds limit.

Weekly Routine Maintenance
Key Lubrication For Tri-lateral Rotary Assembly
Clean dust on slewing bearings and apply special grease to bearings and rotary pins. Insufficient lubrication causes stiff rotation, abnormal noise and severe bearing scuffing, leading to expensive repairs.
Mast Chains & Rollers Care
Wipe dirt from lifting chains and coat evenly with grease. Check clearance of mast side rollers; tighten loose rollers to reduce shaking during high lifting.
Systematic Hydraulic Pipeline Inspection
Check hoses for aging and continuously monitor minor leakage. Top up hydraulic oil with matching grade; do not mix different oil types which will damage oil seals.
Electric Control Box Dust Prevention
Cut off power and remove dust inside controller. Inspect wire insulation and loose plugs; secure wiring to avoid open or short circuits caused by vibration.
Standardized Charging Management
Avoid prolonged float charging for lithium batteries. Check electrolyte level of lead-acid batteries. Charge in well-ventilated areas; charging inside enclosed spaces is forbidden.
Monthly In-depth Overhaul
Tri-lateral Rotation Mechanism Service
Measure clearance of slewing bearings and adjust if excessive. Inspect performance of rotary hydraulic motors and balance valves. Calibrate left/right rotation limit stops to avoid over-travel impact on racks.

Hydraulic System Maintenance
Fully replace hydraulic oil if it turns black with impurities. Renew aged oil seals and damaged hoses to eliminate persistent leakage fundamentally.
Brake System Adjustment
Measure brake pad thickness and replace once worn to limit value. Adjust brake clearance to ensure stable parking on ramps and prevent sliding in narrow aisles during high-level operation.
Motor & Controller Servicing
Clean dust on travel motor cooling fan and check carbon brush wear. Keep controller cooling channels unobstructed to avoid frequent overload shutdown triggered by high temperature.
General Fastener Tightening
Tighten mast pins, tri-lateral mechanism bolts and frame connection screws. Inspect mast and counterweight welding seams for fatigue cracks. Stop operation immediately if any damage is found.
The above systematic maintenance plan helps operators manage Tri-lateral Stacker Order Picker efficiently and effectively reduce equipment failure rates.
