Differences and advantages between electric and internal combustion
Originally, electric forklifts and internal combustion forklifts were seen as two distinct types of forklifts, but they shared similar features and had their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Next, we'll explore the differences between electric forklifts and internal combustion forklifts. Although the two products are similar in most parameters, such as load rating, lifting height and load center, we need to compare their performance and characteristics when choosing to buy.

Essentially, the difference between an electric forklift and an internal combustion forklift is the energy source, with the former using electricity and the latter relying on fuel. Thanks to the electric drive, electric forklifts are virtually noiseless and pollution-free compared to internal combustion forklifts, and are easier to maintain.

The overall structure of the forklift is mostly composed of the following four parts: power part, chassis, working part and electrical equipment. Regardless of the variety of forklift trucks, the differences in the structure and assembly position of these parts create different types of forklifts. Taking a counterbalanced forklift as an example, the power part usually uses an internal combustion engine as the power source, while the power unit of an electric forklift is composed of a battery and a DC series motor.

The chassis part of the forklift includes a travel system and a steering system, which are used to support the operation of the forklift and ensure its normal driving. On counterbalanced forklifts, a counterweight is provided at the rear to balance the weight of the cargo at the front. The steering system can be divided into mechanical steering and power steering according to the different energy required for steering to improve the driver's handling and comfort.

By delving into the construction and working principles of each part of a forklift, we can better understand the differences between electric forklifts and internal combustion forklifts. When choosing a suitable forklift, in addition to considering the parameters, it should also comprehensively consider its performance, maintenance convenience and applicable environment and other factors. This will help to effectively apply forklifts in a variety of work scenarios.
