Explosion proof forklifts are widely used in dust workshops and warehouses with flammable materials. Factory inspection is essential to meet explosion protection standards and prevent ignition hazards. Every unit must pass a series of special tests before delivery. Below are the main explosion proof forklift factory test items.

Check overall appearance and structure. Verify machining quality of explosion-proof modified parts. Ensure flameproof surfaces are free from scratches and dents, and gaps of flameproof joints comply with standards. Confirm fasteners and seals are tightly fitted. Cable glands and junction boxes must stay sealed to block flammable gas and dust. Check that explosion-proof marks and nameplate data are clear and complete.

Test explosion-proof performance of the electric system. Inspect all electric components including motors, controllers, batteries, lights and horns. Verify enclosure protection grade and insulation resistance to rule out short circuit and electric leakage. Carry out spark isolation testing to make sure internal electric arcs and high temperature cannot ignite surrounding hazardous substances. For dust explosion-proof models, pay extra attention to dust sealing structures.

Run temperature class and surface temperature tests. Simulate continuous operation under rated load, and monitor surface temperature of heating parts such as motors, brakes and control housings. The maximum surface temperature must stay below the ignition temperature of local hazardous media, which is critical for dust workshops where accumulated dust can be ignited easily.

Inspect braking and hydraulic systems. Test service brake and parking brake response and braking distance to guarantee reliable stopping under heavy load. Repeat lifting and tilting cycles to check oil leakage on cylinders and pipelines. Metal friction points are treated for explosion protection to avoid sparks from impact.

Complete no-load and loaded running tests. Carry out repeated cycles of travelling, steering, lifting and lowering under rated load. Check smooth operation and abnormal noise or jamming. Test emergency stop and explosion warning devices to confirm power cut-off protection works correctly.

Verify protection configuration and documents. Check explosion-proof certificates and test reports to confirm the explosion-proof rating matches the working site. Models for dusty environments require reliable enclosure protection to stop dust accumulation on hot components.
