High summer temperatures easily cause fast power loss and overheating for small electric forklift. Proper maintenance is essential to reduce wear and extend service life under 30℃ to 40℃ hot weather.

Lithium batteries are the core focus in summer maintenance tips for lithium forklift. Direct sunlight accelerates cell aging, leading to rapid power drain and shortened runtime. Park the forklift in cool shaded areas after work, and reduce heavy-load operation during midday peak heat.

Charging under high temperature also damages the battery greatly. Never charge immediately after heavy work when the battery is hot; let it cool down for 30 minutes first. Choose cooler morning or evening hours for charging. Avoid overcharging or running the battery down completely; adopt timely top-up charging habits.

High temperature may also cause abnormal tire pressure and increased running resistance. Hydraulic oil thins in heat, pipeline seals age easily, and dust blocks heat dissipation holes. These issues increase power consumption and battery heat load obviously.

Clean dust from body cooling holes and motor fans regularly. Check wiring terminals for looseness, overheating and oxidation, and fasten or clean them in time. Inspect tires, wheel debris, hydraulic oil level and seals to avoid unnecessary power loss.

With years of professional forklift experience, we emphasize that battery care is the top priority in summer maintenance. Following these tips helps prolong the service life of small electric forklift and effectively reduce daily maintenance costs.
